
Rochester Fire Sign Karow And Kinsella

Rochester, MN. The ABA Rochester Fire announced they have signed Erik Karow and Mike Kinsella to their 2007-2008 roster. Karow and Kinsella will join Eric Bergstrom, Joe Evert, Michael Hardy, Robert Riley and Diarra Tillman as the Fire's signed players for their inaugural season.
Erik Karow is a Zumbrota native. At 6'3", 220lbs Karow played two years varsitty for Zumbrota-Mazeppa. After high school Karow played four years at Crossroads College where he averaged 21.9 points per game his senior year and led the team in scoring. Karow was also named ACCA First Team All American and two time ACCA All Tournament Team where he held the record for most three point shots made in a single game. Coach Herb Hofer said, "Eric is a good shooter and another important piece of the puzzle to put together a competitive team."
A native of Rochester, Mike Kinsella stands at 7'0" 250lbs. Kinsella played three years varsity at John Marshall and averaged 21.2 points his senior year. Kensella led his John Marshall team to the 2002 Big Nine Conference Championship. He was selected First Team All-State by the AP and Minnesota Basketball News. After John Marshall, Kinsella went on to play at Minneapolis Tech where he earned First Team NJCAA All-American honors. Kinsella led Minneapolis Tech to a 24-4 record and led the team in scoring, rebounding and blocked shots. Kinsella left Minneapolis Tech to play for Marquette in the NCAA Big East Conference. "Mike is a versatile big man and has a nice shooting touch; his size will be a nice addition to our squad," Coach Hofer said.
