Rochester Fire News Release

Rochester, MN. The ABA Rochester Fire announce on Saturday October 6th the signing of four players to bring their roster to 10 players. The players being signed are Terry Klemett, Paris Kyles, Marcus Williams and Brian Schnettler. The event will be at Whiskey Bones Roadhouse, 3820 Hwy 63 in Rochester on Saturday, October 6th.

The signings will have both experience and youth. Two players, Terry Klemett and Marcus Williams, have previous professional experience. Terry comes to the Fire after playing overseas for Fokopo of Finland where he averaged 6 points, 7 assists, 3 rebounds and 3.5 steals per game. He is an experienced player having played for teams in Mexico and Europe as well as the US. Williams played at the University of Central Missouri before playing professionally in Southern California in the ABA for two years.

The Fire have also selected two local college standouts. Both Paris Kyles and Brian Schnettler will begin their professional careers in Rochester. Paris played for nearby Minnesota State University Mankato and averaged 11.4 points, 4.0 rebounds while shooting 46.2% from the floor. Brian played college ball at the University of St. Thomas. In 82 games in three seasons, he made 297 out of 647 three pointers (46%). An Honorable Mention All-American and two-time All-MIAC shooting guard, he completed his college eligibility last March and scored 1,336 points in his career at UST.

"All four players will be great additions to our squad. These signings give us depth and experience," said Fire coach Herb Hofer. "I am excited about this group of guys." For more information, cal 507289 8800 or visit www.rochesterfireaba.com or www.abalive.com.
