Come Witness The Takeover

Houston, TX. The ABA Houston Takers invite you to "Come Witness the Takeover" as they start their pre-season exhibition on Saturday, October 6th at 7pm at Reagan Pavillion. "We are excited about this upcoming season and the community of Houston is behind us," stated Coach Smith. "So many things are going on now in Houston. The buzz is finally getting out there that there's another basketball team in Houston, a great team - and the games are affordable."
The teams will start with a meet and greet before the game at The Breakfast Club, which is a Houston restaurant famous for their chicken and waffles from 11am-2pm. The players and coaches will be signing autographs and taking pictures with fans of all ages.
The Houston Takers are also looking for volunteers to assist them in the Elves and More event to build bicycles for underprivileged kids. "This is an event that we participated in last season where the players and I helped out," added team owner Larry Leonard III. "This year we are going to sign up at least 100 volunteers to build bikes and have fun doing it. At the end of the day, it's for the kids."
