Rochester Fire Announce Community Youth Training Camp Day

Rochester, MN. The ABA Rochester fire announces Rochester Community Youth Basketball Association Clinic to take place this Sunday at RCTC. In addition to the clinic, the Fire will unveil their uniforms for the 2007-08 season.

The Rochester Fire invites all youth, grades 1-8 to attend a free basketball clinic on October 28th from 1pm-4pm. This camp will be held at the Rochester Community and Technical College Performance Court. Fire players and coaches will be in attendance to teach the youth one-on-one, how to shoot, dribble, pass and score.

From 1-215pm, players from grades 1-4 are invited to learn from the pros. The clinic will be set up in various stations teaching basketball fundamentals. From 215-245pm, the Rochester Fire will be unveiling the team's jerseys. Members of the press and Rochester Community Youth Basketball Association will be the first to see the Fire jerseys they will be wearing in their inaugural season. The clinic will conclude with a stations style setup for grades 5-8. "It is awesome to see a youth basketball group with so much enthusiasm and excitement for the Fire," said Quentin Berner, GM. "We are looking forward to working hand-in-hand with the staff and players of RCYBA."

This event will wrap up a very busy week for Fire players and staff. The Fire players have taken part in school assemblies at Riverside Central Elementary, Folwell Elementary, Lincoln K-8 Choice Schools and Media Day. The team has been practicing daily at RCTC and is looking forward to the beginning of a great season.
