Robinson Returns to Richmond

RICHMOND, VA - (Friday, June 13, 2014) - The Richmond Kickers are pleased to announce the return of 2013 USL PRO Rookie of the Year, Nate Robinson.

"Nate has worked extremely hard over the last eight months to recover from his ACL injury," commented Leigh Cowlishaw, Richmond Kickers Director of Soccer. "With several high profile matches ahead of us, Nate's signing is a timely boost for the club."

Sidelined through injury during the offseason, Robinson returns to Richmond after leading the team in assists with nine en route to the Kickers' 2013 Regular Season Championship, adding a 10th assist during U.S. Open Cup play. Contributing four goals in his debut season, he finished third on the team in scoring with 18 points overall.

After spending the 2012 season with the Michigan Bucks of the USL Premier Development League, the Novi, MI native impressed at the Kickers preseason combine and signed with the team just 24 hours before the 2013 season opener.

Must See Games at City Stadium

The Richmond Kickers kick off a three-game Must See Games Series beginning with a U.S. Open Cup Fourth Round match-up against Major League Soccer's New England Revolution on Wednesday, June 18. Then, the Kickers return to City Stadium to host the Mexican Olympic Team on Tuesday, July 1 before rounding out the summer exhibition schedule with an historic international friendly against Crystal Palace from the world famous Barclay's Premier League on Monday, July 28.
