Hammerheads Travel to Richmond

Wilmington, NC - Wilmington Hammerheads FC is scheduled to travel north to Richmond on Saturday, June 14 to take on the Kickers at 7:00 p.m. ET at City Stadium. This match will be the first of three meetings between the two clubs this USL PRO regular season.
The Hammerheads are undefeated in their last six USL PRO matches and enter Saturday's matchup following a 2-2 draw against the OKC Energy last weekend at Legion Stadium. The Kickers have accumulated one loss overall this season and goalkeeper Joe Willis tallied his league-leading fifth shutout last weekend in a 1-0 victory over the Harrisburg City Islanders to extend the Kickers unbeaten streak to 12 games.
"Going to Richmond is always a tough game," said Wilmington Hammerheads Head Coach David Irving. "They are off to good start, as are we. This will be our first match playing a team currently ranked in the top four of our league."
The Kickers are currently ranked third overall in the USL PRO standings with 13 games played to date compared to the Hammerheads nine games played and sixth in rank.

Fans in Wilmington are encouraged to join the Hammerheads organization for a live Watch Party on Saturday at Buffalo Wild Wings on Old Eastwood Road to cheer on the team as they play at City Stadium. Drink specials will be available.
The Hammerheads are scheduled to host Major League Soccer's Toronto FC on Wednesday, June 18 for a friendly match at Legion Stadium. There will be a meet and greet session on the field from 5:45 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. for the general public prior to the start of the match. Tickets are now on sale.
