Roanoke Acquires Hand

GREENVILLE, S.C., January 1 – The Roanoke Dazzle has acquired National Basketball Development League veteran Donald Hand, according to an announcement by NBDL director of basketball operations Chris Alpert and Dazzle head coach Kent Davison.

Hand, a 5-11, 190-pound point guard from Virginia ('01), takes the roster spot vacated by point guard Victor Williams, who left the team for personal reasons. Hand played 65 games over the last two NBDL seasons, averaging 23.1 minutes 9.2 points, 3.0 rebounds and 4.1 assists for the Greenville Groove.

Hand is expected to play when Roanoke (7-4) plays host to Fayetteville (7-7) Friday at the Roanoke Civic Center. Tip off is 7 p.m. ET.
