SAN ANGELO, Texas - After facing back-to-back rainouts in San Angelo, the Edinburg Roadrunners defeated the San Angelo Colts by a score of 6-4 in game one of a double header.
The Colts (26-25) got the scoring started in the bottom of the second when they scored four runs which knocked Edinburg starter Austin Fraker after an inning and two-thirds.
The Roadrunners (25-28) responded with a two run third inning when Dan Coury launched his fifth homerun of the season to cut the deficit to 4-2.
Edinburg would continue their comeback in the fourth inning when Tim Battle hit a double to score Brandon Spencer to make it 4-3.
Then a series of Colts errors would allow Edinburg to complete the comeback scoring three runs in the process making it 6-4 in favor of the Roadrunners.
Reliever Leo Madrid (3-2) earned the win going four innings and a third giving up only two hits in the process.
Demetrius Banks (4-1) took the loss for the Colts going five and two thirds innings allowing 5 runs.
Damian Seguen would pitch a scoreless seventh inning to earn his sixth save of the season
The Roadrunners return home on Thursday, July 25th when they host the San Angelo Colts for a four game series and it will be Thirsty Thursday were all beer will be sold at a discounted price. Gates open at 6:05 pm and first pitch at 7:05 pm.
