Roadrunners Make Roster Changes

EDINBURG, Texas---The Edinburg Roadrunners of the United League announced today that they have traded outfielder Vincent Blue to the Sussex Skyhawks (Can Am) for future considerations.

In 2010, Blue hit .236 with two home runs and 28 RBI in 50 games for the Roadrunners.

The Roadrunners also announced today that they have released infielder Melvin Perez and reliever Evan Cunningham and have signed reliever Austin Bridges, who played with the team in 2009.

Perez batted .241 with five doubles and 8 RBI in just 26 games. Cunningham made just four appearances for the Roadrunners and had no record with a 10.82 ERA in five innings of work.

Bridges, who will take Cunningham's spot in the bullpen, started the 2010 season with the Florence Freedom (Frontier League) where he had no record with an ERA of 5.66 in 14 games. In 2009, Bridges went 2-1 with a 5.40 ERA in 18 appearances with the Roadrunners.
