Greenville Swamp Rabbits News Release

Greenville, SC - The Greenville Road Warriors, proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers and the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack, today announced the team and Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Dean Stork have mutually agreed to part ways.

"Dean has been a valuable member of the organization for the last five years, and Fred and I are grateful for his commitment, work ethic and devotion," General Manger Chris Lewis said. "He is a good coach and has done many positive things for the organization and for the development of our players."

"With the announcement of our five-year lease extension in March, Fred and I have been looking at the organization as a whole and assessing how we can continue to move the team forward. This is an important time for our franchise and we feel that it is time for a change and a fresh approach."

"We wish nothing but the best for him and his family."

Stork, 39, compiled a record of 201-131-28 in five years with the Road Warriors and clinched a post-season berth four times. Previously, he served as an assistant coach with Cincinnati from 2006-2010.

The search for a new head coach will begin immediately. During the interim, Assistant Coach Brian Gratz will assume the role of Director of Hockey Operations.

An announcement will be made when a new head coach is hired.
