Mississippi RiverKings News Release
SOUTHAVEN, Miss. - The Mississippi RiverKings have announced that longtime front office member Whitley Rives will be leaving the organization to pursue other career opportunities.
"I'm so thankful for Maddox Foundation President, Robin Hurdle, and the opportunity she gave me 14 years ago. From Day One when she described to me her vision for the team and the impact we create, ranging from better economic quality of life to the charitable difference we make in the lives of individuals and nonprofits, I have been a believer in the work we are doing here," Rives said. "The icing on the cake has been the relationships with my season ticket holders, fans and business owners with whom we partner. I am so thankful for all that I've learned and seen during my time with the team. I'm very excited for what the team has planned for next year! The 25th anniversary season is going to be so much fun for everyone. RiverKings fans will be very proud and happy with what's in store for them in the 2016-17 season."
"Whitley will be truly missed by everyone on this team," RiverKings Director of Business Operations David Schmoll said. "She adapted to every challenge put in front of her during her tenure here and had tremendous success. I wish her and her family the best and she will always be a part of the RiverKings family."
Rives joined the RiverKings front office in 2002 after the team was purchased by Maddox Foundation. In her time with the RiverKings, Rives served as Public Relations Coordinator, Community Development Coordinator, Office Manager, Emcee and most recently in the sales department. Her final day with the team is May 19.
The search for Rives' replacement will begin immediately.
