Riversharks to Host Second Annual Softball Tournament

CAMDEN, N.J. - The Camden Riversharks will host the second annual Camden Waterfront Softball Tournament beginning on Friday, September 20th at 11:00 a.m. at Campbell's Field.

Featuring staff members from 19 teams from 15 Waterfront partners, the Riversharks Waterfront Softball Tournament separates teams into two divisions. The tournament format gives teams a chance to compete through three rounds of games to fight for a spot in the championship game tentatively scheduled for Saturday, September 21st at 4:00 p.m.

Waste Management's softball team returns to the tournament to defend its title from 2012.

The tournament is open to the public and admission to the games is just $1.00 per person and represents a donation to the New Jersey Youth and Government Program. Concessions will be available to fans on the concourse throughout the tournament.

"The Camden Riversharks are excited to host so many of our Waterfront neighbors and partners in what should be a fun, competitive experience for everyone involved," said Camden Riversharks President and General Manager.

About the Camden Riversharks The Camden Riversharks are entering their 13th season in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. Since 2001, the Riversharks have hosted all of their home games at Campbell's Field, located along the Camden Waterfront. The team provides a "Quad-A" baseball product, while maintaining an affordable family friendly atmosphere.
