
Riversharks Take over First Place

Camden Riversharks News Release
The Camden Riversharks swept their doubleheader with the Long Island Ducks with 2-1 and 3-2 victories to complete their three-game sweep. Camden has now won six games in a row and is atop the Liberty Division standings in first place.
Federico Baez outdueled Mike Loree in Game 1 of the doubleheader as Camden pulled out a 2-1 victory.
Baez (6-3) threw five shutout innings on two hits while striking out three batters for the victory.
Loree (12-2) went the distance allowing just one earned run but suffered his first loss since May 21st.
Camden scored the game's first run in the bottom of the 2nd as Danny Richar scored on a wild pitch.
Juan Francia doubled the lead in the bottom of the 5th with an RBI single that scored Lloyd Turner.
In Game 2, the Riversharks came back in the bottom of the 7th with two runs to complete the three-game sweep.
Matt Padgett brought home Lew Ford with an RBI groundout in the 2nd inning to give Long Island a 1-0 lead.
Lloyd Turner tied up the game at 1-1 in the 3rd inning with an RBI triple that scored Jonel Pacheco.
Dan Lyons gave the Ducks the lead in the top of the 7th with an RBI triple that plated Erick Monzon.
Brian Burgamy tied the game in the bottom of the 7th with an RBI single and Ruddy Yan hit the game-winning sacrifice fly to put the 'Sharks in first place.
