April 24, 2009 - Atlantic League (AtL)
Camden Riversharks News Release
CAMDEN - The Camden Riversharks announced today that they have partnered with the Volunteers of America Delaware Valley for the 2009 season. As a result of the partnership, all veterans will receive free admission to Riversharks games this year. The non-profit organization will also be the official sponsor of the singing of God Bless America during all 2009 home games.
"Partnering with Volunteers of America is an honor for us," said Riversharks General Manager Adam Lorber. "We are always looking to increase our involvement with local charities, and Volunteers of America is a great organization right here in our own backyard. We really want to raise awareness about all that they do in our community."
An integral part of this new partnership will be the introduction of the Volunteer Recognition Program. During the seventh inning stretch of every Riversharks home game, the Volunteers of America Delaware Valley will recognize one volunteer who has donated his or her time to helping local veterans.
"We are very happy to have this partnership with the Riversharks," said James Wynn, Development Director of Volunteers of America Delaware Valley. "And through this partnership, we look forward to benefitting the veterans in our community," he added.
