Riversharks meet Rage Friday

St. Louis, June 21, 2006-The RiverCity Rage will aim to add onto their (11-1) record Friday at Savvis Center. The RiverCity Rage will face the Tennessee Riversharks in this NIFL Atlantic North battle.

Last time the Riversharks stepped on the gridiron, they were defeated 109-6 by the Billings Outlaws.

RiverCity had last week off, due to a forfeit by the Twin City Gators.

Game time is set for 7 p.m. on Friday June 23 at Savvis Center in downtown St. Louis, MO.

EVENTS FOR THE NIGHT

43 year old Danny Massier of Saskatchewan, Canada, will play on the Rage Kickoff Coverage team as his prize for winning an auction on EBAY that raised money for the United Way of Greater St. Louis.

Mayor Slay will be in attendance to swear in George Whittington III into the Amy Reserves and then George Whittington III will do the swearing in of his son George Whittington IV into the US Army.

As, announced earlier this week on WIL 92.3's "The Cornbread Morning Show," former Rage Wide Receiver Scott Pingel will have his #10 jersey retired by the franchise.

The Cougars of Affton High School will be presented with the 2005 High School Football Team of The Year Trophy. In 2005, Affton had an overall (12-1) regular season record. They were led by Head Coach Dan Oliver.

Former DeSmet Quarterback Tommy Corwin will be on hand to receive the 2005 High School Player of The Year Trophy. During his senior season, Corwin collected 2,902 Passing Yards, along with 19 passing touchdowns. Corwin will be attending Central Missouri State University starting this fall, where he will play under one of the most respected MIAA Head Coaches, Willie Fritz.

PROMOTIONS FOR THE NIGHT

The first 1,000 fans will receive Scott Pingel T-shirts.

Military personnel, active or inactive who present their Military ID at Savvis Center, will be given free admission good for Club Level or General Admission seating. Family members of military personnel who would like to come to the game will need to pay regular price for their ticket.

Along with Majestic Travel, Super Clubs and Funjet. The Rage will be giving away a trip to the Hedonism Resort.

This is also Bethany Place Night.
