
NIFL Mourns Loss of Referee
June 21, 2006 - National Indoor Football League (NIFL) News Release
Services for Mr. Bill L. Gorum will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 21, 2006 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville with Reverend Jack Harper officiating. Burial will be in Campbell Creek Cemetery, Sharp, Louisiana.
Pallbearers will be David Boudreaux, Trey Cox, Michael Lawrence, Paul Parsons, Reggie Dubroc, Charlie Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be Alexandria High School Football Referee Association.
Mr. Gorum, 63, of Pineville died Sunday, June 18, 2006 in Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital.
He was a member of the Louisiana High School Football Association, he also Umpired High School Baseball. He worked in the pressbox for the Alexandria Aces and for Louisiana College Baseball. He was employed by Cleco.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William R. and Gladys O. Knight Gorum.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 22 years, Alice A. Gorum of Pineville; sons, Grant Gorum of Wilmington, NC, Ryan Paul Gorum of Pineville; daughters, Charre Lynn Chabot of Mora and Erin Courtney Gorum of Monroe; brothers, Donald R. Gorum and his wife, Lynn of Lena and Gene A. Gorum of Lena; sister, Sharon Gorum of Alexandria; four grandchildren.

Services: 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 21, 2006 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville.
Visitation: Friends may call Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at Hixson Brothers, Pineville from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until service time.
