
RiverRats sign former Syracuse LB Kellen Pruitt

Pittsburgh RiverRats head coach Shawn Liotta today announced the team's signing of former Syracuse University standout linebacker Kellen Pruitt. Pruitt, a 6'4"-239 linebacker was a 3-year defensive starter for the Orangemen. "Kellen instantly improves our defense. I look for him to contribute to our stretch run towards the playoffs beginning with this weekend's game with Florence" commented Liotta.
Pruitt completed his Syracuse career with 257 tackles (18 for losses), 7 sacks, 4 interceptions, and 4 fumble recoveries. He was a Washington Post All-Metro Second Team selection as a senior at Gwynn Park H.S. in Clifton, MD.
The Pittsburgh RiverRats will next be action at home at the Rostraver Ice Gardens Arena on Saturday, April 14, 2007 when they host the Florence Phantoms. For ticket information, please visit www.pittsburghriverrats.com.
