RiverRats Host Florence Phantoms on April 14

The Pittsburgh RiverRats of the AIFA will host the Florence Phantoms at the Rostraver Ice Gardens Arena in Belle Vernon, PA on Saturday, April 14. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM.

Pittsburgh (3-4 North division) has won of 3 of its last 4 games, and is coming off a thrilling 47-42 victory over Johnstown.

Quarterback David Dinkins scrambled 40 yards for the go-ahead touchdown with 3:14 remaining. WR's Beau Gibbs, Brandon Jackson, and Marko Thomas all caught TD passes, and Tywan Napper returned the second-half opening kickoff for a touchdown.

The RiverRats defense recorded 5 interceptions, including 3 by CB Corey Oaks, who returned one of them for a TD.

Florence (2-5 South division) will be making its first trip to Pittsburgh after breaking a 5-game losing streak with a 46-40 victory on the road against winless Montgomery. The Phantoms are led by QB's Oscar Davenport, who played collegiately at North Carolina, and Brian Scott, a converted WR from South Carolina. Florence is coached by Mike Siani, a former WR for the Oakland Raiders of the NFL.
