Erie, PA -- (01-10-09) The Erie RiverRats are proud to announce that Family First Sports Park has agreed to become a major partner with the RiverRats for the upcoming 2009 AIFA season.

Family First Sports Park opened in 1994 and has been providing families with an environment to spend more time together sharing their passion for sports, fitness and fun.

Family First Sports Park will serve as the host site for this year's ErieSistables Dance Team tryouts as well as tryouts for the RiverRats Roster on February 8th and 22nd. The Sports Park facility also gives the RiverRats a new practice home within the city of Erie for the team and dance/promo squad.

In addition to hosting the RiverRats tryouts and practices, the team is proud to announce they will be working closely with the Family First Youth Indoor Football program. The youth football program is headed up by Mike Mischler. "The program has seen tremendous growth with more than 750 players and their families having come through the program since January," remarked Gary Smallshaw, COO of Family First Sports Park.

"This is a great opportunity for the team to promote good health, fitness and exercise with the future stars of Erie football. The facility is first rate and we are fortunate to have the opportunity to practice there. In fact it's a double treat, a great practice facility and the opportunity to be a part of the Family First Youth Indoor Football program, and we are quite excited," commented President/General Manager Jeff Moran. "We will be hosting half-time games again this season, and that's always fun."

"Additionally, this works well with our goals for the 2009 season. We, as an organization have two goals this season. First, put children first and second to make this Erie's team," said Moran.
