
Rivermen Set Two Preseason Contests

Peoria Rivermen General Manager Kevin McDonald has announced that the Rivermen will play both the Chicago Wolves and Rockford IceHogs during the 2011 preseason. The Rivermen will open the preseason at Carver Arena with an exhibition contest against the Chicago Wolves on Friday, Sept. 30 at 7:05 p.m.
The following night, Oct. 1, they will travel to the Rockford MetroCentre to face the IceHogs at 7:05 p.m.
All tickets to the Sept. 30 game, upper and lower bowl, will be available for $10. Full season ticket holders will again receive free tickets this year. Tickets for the preseason game are on sale now exclusively through the Rivermen office located inside the Peoria Civic Center.
Peoria will open the home portion of their regular season schedule on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 7:05 p.m. The opponent will be determined when the entire American Hockey League schedule is released later this month.
