Peoria, Ill. (June 25, 2004) â President Bart Rogers of the Peoria Rivermen of the ECHL announced today that Ed Summers has been hired as the team's equipment manager.
"Ed's commitment to hard work is evident," Rogers said. "His enthusiasm and dedication will serve our players, coaches and organization well."
Summers â a 51-year-old native of Spokane, Washington, who has made his home in Boise for the last 30 years â will be responsible for coordinating all team equipment purchases, maintaining player equipment and uniforms, and organizing and preparing the home team and visiting locker rooms for practices and games. Medically retired from the United States Air Force with eight years of service, Summers will celebrate 29 years of marriage this year with his wife, Staceia. They have one son, David (20).
