
RiverKings Visit the UT/West Institute for Cancer Research

SOUTHAVEN, Miss - The Mississippi RiverKings' staff and players made a Valentine's Day visit to the patients and members of the University of Tennessee/West Institute for Cancer Research. Established in 2014, the non-profit ogranization solicits grants and donations to broaden innovative research and cancer treatment programs for adults.
The University of Tennessee/West Institute for Cancer Research focuses on four areas of research such as: Drug Development and Discovery, Immunothearpy, Women's Cancers and Community Outcomes. Due to generous donorship for the organization, benefactors provide adequete funding for West Cancer Center Researchers to create and produce the most effective therapies for cancer patients, with the goal of defeating cancer entirely.
The Mississippi RiverKings will honor the UT/West Institute for Cancer Research by sporting special pink jerseys on Saturday, February 25 versus the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs at the Landers Center. The RiverKings travel on the road to take on the Macon Mayhem for a 6:35 puck drop this Friday. Catch all the action at the official watch party headquarters, Old Style Bar-B-Q in Olive Branch.
