PEORIA, Illinois - The RiverKings return home to Planters Bank Ice at Landers Center securing two points out of a possible four on their trip to Peoria, having won the first matchup but fall in the finale 1-0.

In a game that was astronomically different than the night's before, the RiverKings and Rivermen battled to a 1-0 final. The first period came and went without a goal for either team, but one thing that was a common thread as last night, the animosity between these two teams. Halfway through the first period Pijus Rulevicius threw down the gloves and grappled with Peoria's Mike Economos, his second fight in as many nights. Fists of fury flew from both sides as the linesmen had to step in and separate the combatants as they stood.

Peoria would break the tie in the midway through the second period on a flukey goal. A shot from the point hit off a RiverKings glove in front hopping into the air. It was low enough that goaltender Tyler Green couldn't find the puck as it arched in over his shoulder and landed behind the goal line. Nick Miglio would get credited with the goal with assists coming to Brandon Rumble and Kevin Patterson. Peoria's 1-0 lead would prove to be all it took as they held on to end the RiverKings win streak at six games.

The RiverKings were without Donald Olivieri in the matchup as he was called up early Saturday morning to ECHL Norfolk, while on the other side Riverman Alec Hagaman was suspended by the SPHL for his actions in last night's brawl.

Tyler Green stopped 26 of 27 shots but was bested by Eric Levine who gets the shutout and the win after being chased only 4:19 into the game last night.

The RiverKings fall to 8-3 on the season while the Rivermen rise to 7-4-1. The RiverKings return home to Planters Bank Ice at Landers Center this coming weekend with two games against the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs.

Tickets are available for both Friday and Saturday night's games at www.riverkings.com/ticketmaster.
