Crown The ‘Kings: The Memphis RiverKings have completed their Central Hockey League championship run, winning the President's Cup with a dramatic 5-4 overtime win in game five. That completed a three game home ice sweep for the RiverKings and a 4-1 series win. The title is the first for the RiverKings in their 10-year history.

Celebration Rally: Fans will have a chance to get their picture taken with the President's Cup trophy at the RiverKings celebration party Tuesday night at 7 o'clock at the DeSoto Civic Center. Players and coach Doug Shedden will enter the Civic Center on a red carpet, at 7 p.m. Fans will then be allowed to enter the building for the party. Championship souvenirs will be available at the celebration.

At 8:30, the party will move to the club at North Creek where fans will be able to view the video tape of game five, the clinching game of the President's Cup.

Home Sweep Home: With the series tied at a win each, the RiverKings came home for three straight games. An empty net goal provided a 4-2 win in game three. The RiverKings won another nail biter in game four, 4-3. Game five even topped those thrilling finishes when Michal Stastny scored at 5:48 of overtime to end the series.

M-V-P Don Parsons was the playoff leading with 14 goals and 13 assists for 27 points and was named the playoff Most Valuable Player, repeating his regular season performance when he was named the CHL's Advantage-Rent-A-Car MVP.
