Johnstown RiverHawks News Release
June 3, 2005 - The Johnstown Riverhawks of the Atlantic Indoor Football League will sponsor a fundraiser for six year old Maxwell Orr during their game against Raleigh on June 17th. Orr was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy two years ago. He went from a healthy bright smiling child to requiring a feeding tube as well as a trach tube. Maxwell must undergo a treatment called MME which costs $50/hr. He was prescribed 400 hours at the first session alone. The Riverhawks have made it their duty to help Maxwell and his family with the financial side of this unfortunate event.
The Riverhawks will donate $1 to Maxwell's family for every ticket sold on June 17th. Area businesses are urged to buy group tickets to support the Riverhawk's efforts. "If we sell out the game we will be able to provide 80 hours of treatment to Maxwell," said Brian Schwelling, team owner, "I hope Johnstown will support this important effort."
