Folmar resigns from Riverhawks

Johnstown RiverHawks News Release
The following is a resignation letter submitted today by Johnstown Riverhawks head coach Steven Folmar.
----
I, Steven G. Folmar, hereby resign my position as Head Football Coach of the Johnstown Riverhawks indoor football team effective immediately. I can no longer continue to operate in good faith within the community or with players for this organization. This is one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make. I have tried to put a competitive team on the field for the Johnstown area but winning is no longer at a premium, and that's not the way I coach. I feel we no longer are being given the tools available to us to make this a championship team. I would go so far as to say what has been allowed to happen to the players and staff of this organization isn't fair, but we know life seldom is.
I want to apologize to my players and staff for bringing them into a situation that has been far from ideal. I also want to apologize to the fans of the Johnstown Riverhawks for taking advantage of their trust and giving them less than a top notch product.
I coach football because I love it, and I have loved working with the very talented players here in Johnstown, but under the current situation it is no longer enjoyable or economically feasible for me. I need to step away and get my priorities back in order.
I wish the fans, players and Johnstown Riverhawks franchise nothing but the best.
Sincerely,
Steven G. Folmar
