Riverhawks to Hold Tryout October 21st

JOHNSTOWN, PA - The Johnstown Riverhawks of the American Indoor Football Association will be hosting a tryout for position players, October 21st at Roxbury Park in the 1400 block of Franklin St. in Johnstown. Coach Folmar and his staff are looking for local talent to help fill out the Riverhawks roster for the 2007 season, which will begin February 2nd. Players will be tested in the 40-yard dash, pro-shuttle and other agility drills. Later in the morning, all players will move to position specific drills.
The pre-registration fee will be $55.00 up until the close of business on Friday October 13, 2006, after which the registration fee will be $65.00 up through the tryout. Registration is scheduled for 9:00 AM with testing beginning at 10:00 AM. At 1:00 PM, a few players may be asked stay and join in a closed workout/tryout with players from the 2006 Riverhawks team and invited guests. Interested athletes should wear outdoor shoes or cleats, and dress warmly. The tryout will be held rain or shine. All applicants must be 18 years of age or older. Kicking tryouts will be held by appointment only.
