Rockford RiverHawks News Release

ROCKFORD, Ill. – The Rockford RiverHawks have launched their new website.

The redesigned www.rockfordriverhawks.com has a number of fan-friendly features, including detailed schedules, including promotional items and community nights for each home date; an expanded roster section that provides greater player detail; detailed ticketing information; a moderated fan forum. When single-game tickets go on sale, fans will be able to purchase seats from the website and print a paper ticket.

Other features include the ability to listen to the internet simulcast directly, a gallery of photos and direct email links to members of the front office.

Designworks of Rockford built the new site for the RiverHawks.

"Our partnership with Designworks has brought us into the 21st Century," RiverHawks general manager Mike Babcock said. "It's important to us to keep up with the advances in technology, and Designworks is the top media-production company in the area."

During the season, detailed, updated statistics will be available on the roster page.

"We've taken the best of every baseball site we've found on the web and incorporated those elements into the redesigned site," director of broadcasting Bill Czaja said. "Visit the site each day during the season and you'll find pages with updated, detailed stats that only managers, coaches and media previously could get their hands on. You want to know Kiley Vaughn's slugging percentage against Windy City or how many runs Ryan Larson drove in during June? This is your stop."

The RiverHawks are the defending champions of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league that will play its 13th season. The RiverHawks' first game at their new stadium is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, against the River City Rascals. Season tickets, luxury suites and 10-game mini-season plans are available by calling the box office.
