Quad City Riverhawks News Release
Davenport, IA- The Quad City Riverhawks game on March 7th against the Rockford Fury has been moved to Blackhawk College. The Riverhawks normal home, Wharton Field House, is being used as an emergency shelter by the American Red Cross due to the flooding of the Rock River.
GM Eric Hutchins stated:" I know Wharton Fieldhouse is no longer being used as a shelter with the flooding but this morning we had to react after talking to all involved we thought the move would be best because we did not know how long Wharton Fieldhouse would be needed for the victims of the flood and if they would need it again by tomorrow.
Tickets for Friday's game are $10 for adults and $5 for seniors and children with $2 from each ticket sold being donated to the Red Cross. Blackhawk College staff and students can purchase tickets for $5 with college ID.
As a reminder, the Riverhawks game originally scheduled for Saturday, March 8th has already been played. The game against the Maryland Nighthawks was played as part of the PBL's Triple "S" Showcase on Tuesday.
