
RiverHawks announce ownership and leadership change

LOVES PARK, Ill. - The Rockford RiverHawks of the Frontier League of Professional Baseball today announced a reorganization of its ownership and front-office leadership.
Hawks Baseball LLC completed the acquisition of the assets of Rockford Baseball LLC, the owner of the RiverHawks. Under Hawks Baseball, Kurt Carlson of Rockford will serve as chairman and co-managing member of the team. Dennis Arouca of Wilmette is president and co-managing member. Arouca will have primary day-to-day leadership responsibility for team matters, and will act for the team in Frontier League matters. David Ciarrachi will serve as director on-field operations and co-managing member, with primary responsibility for the manager, coaches and players.
"This restructuring of the team is giving us added momentum as we approach the RiverHawks' fifth season in Rockford," Carlson said. "Construction of the new stadium is on schedule for a May 31 home opener."
Ciarrachi said: "Adding Dennis to the team, with his extensive business and sports experience, strengthens our operations as we take on the many challenges of a new stadium."
Arouca said: "I am enthusiastic about joining Dave and Kurt in our effort to deliver high quality and affordable family entertainment to the Rockford metro area. The metro area has many strengths, and I am excited about earning the community's trust. The RiverHawks have been consistent winners on the field, and I look forward to the challenge of making us winners in all aspects of our business and community activities."
