Johnstown RiverHawks News Release
The Johnstown Riverhawks of the Atlantic Indoor Football League have announced David Swanger, 14, an eighth grader of St. John the Evangelist School in Altoona, Pa. as the winner of the Riverhawks' "Owner For The Day" contest. David is the son of David Sr. and Jeannie Swanger.
For his winning submission, Swanger will receive tickets for his family to this Saturday's game against the Canton Legends, all day limousine service courtesy of VIP Limousine, Indiana, Pa., and all rights and privileges of being the Riverhawks Owner. He will accompany the team's owner, Brian Schwelling, during Saturday's game preparations. He will arrive on the field in the limo and conduct the game's coin toss. "We're overwhelmed," said Jeannie Swanger, David's mother, "He's done so many things for being 14 but this is very exciting."
Schwelling stated, "Of over 100 essay submissions, David's stood out the most due in large part to his approach and command of language. In business, writing well, speaking well, and dynamic thinking is critical."
Brian Schwelling can be reached at 814-361-3460.
