
RiverHawks announce exhibition schedule

ROCKFORD, Ill. â The Rockford RiverHawks are back in town.
Spring training officially begins with the team's first workout, scheduled for 9 a.m. Sunday at Marinelli Field. Manager Bob Koopmann and his staff will have 12 days to produce a 24-man roster.
The RiverHawks have scheduled two exhibition doubleheaders against the Windy City ThunderBolts. The first is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Friday, May 14 at Marinelli Field. The second is at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, May 16 at Crestwood.
Admission is $2 for all ages for the doubleheader at Marinelli.
The RiverHawks begin their third season on May 21 at the Windy City Thunderbolts. The âHawks open the home schedule at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday, May 25 against Springfield/Ozark at Marinelli Field. The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league in its 12th season.
