RiverHawks Activate Kyle Wright

LOVES PARK, Ill. - The Rockford RiverHawks have activated starting pitcher Kyle Wright from the seven-day disabled list.

Wright last pitched July 4 against Lake County. He defeated the Fielders, 6-4, and allowed three runs on seven hits and struck out three. Wright left the game after seven innings with ulnar nerve irritation, and was placed on the DL July 5. Wright is 4-2 with a 3.83 ERA in eight starts and nine appearances.

To make room on the roster, the RiverHawks have released outfielder Jared Richmond. Richmond appeared in five games and was hitless in eight at-bats.

The RiverHawks are members of the Northern League, an eight-team independent professional baseball league in its 18th season.
