James Named League Player of Week

LOVES PARK, Ill. - Rockford RiverHawks centerfielder Jason James is the Northern League's Player of the Week.

James went 2-for-3, with a double, run scored and two RBI's in the Northern League's 9-3 win over the Golden League. He was voted the All Star game MVP.

James hit .444 (8-18) with a home run, two doubles, and seven RBI's for the week that ended July 18. He had a .546 on base percentage for the week in five games which included the All Star game

James is the third RiverHawk awarded by the league this year. Brett Durand was the Pitcher of the Week for June 13-19 and Patrick O'Sullivan was the Player of the Week for June 28-July 4.
