Riverdragons Host Easter Bunny, Easter Egg Hunt This Weekend

COLUMBUS, Ga., April 7 – The Columbus Riverdragons will bring the Easter Spirit to their final two home games on April 9 and 10 against Asheville Altitude and the Huntsville Flight, when they will host the Easter Bunny and Easter Egg Hunts. Prizes have been donated for the Easter Egg Hunt by local businesses such as Sonic, Chuck E. Cheese and Carmike Cinemas.

Beginning at 6:00 PM on Friday and Saturday night, children of all ages are invited to participate in an Easter Egg Hunt in the concourse area and Riverwalk Park behind the Columbus Civic Center. The Easter Bunny will be on hand to supervise the Hunt, take photos with children and participate in Easter games and crafts.

The NBDL, the NBA's minor league, includes the Fayetteville Patriots (N.C.), Charleston Lowgators (S.C.), Huntsville Flight (Ala.), Roanoke Dazzle (Va.), Columbus Riverdragons (Ga.) and Asheville Altitude (N.C.).

The league offers players the opportunity to develop their talent in a highly competitive atmosphere under the NBA's umbrella. Twenty-seven (27) players have been called up the NBA on 38 separate occasions. Four former NBDL coaches and six referees have also been called up to the NBA since the start of the league's inaugural season in November 2001.

Designed to help grow the sport of basketball both domestically and internationally, the league also offers fun, family entertainment at affordable prices. The NBDL is a source of on-court talent for the NBA's 30 teams and is a diverse human resources pool for the NBA and its teams by training employees in management, operations, public relations, sales and marketing positions.
