MEYER AND MARTY

On the strength of an incredible late-season run that has Asheville in first place, Altitude coach Joey Meyer is now the all time leader in NBDL coaching victories with 75. Among active NBDL coaches, Charleston's Doug Marty currently holds the winning percentage lead at .543, 51-43 as he finishes his second season.

MILT AND ALEX

Although they coached just one season in the NBDL, Milton Barnes and Alex English still sit atop the all-time winning percentage column for coaches. Both finished 2001-02 with 36-20 records (.642). Barnes bested English, now an assistant with the 76ers, in the 2002 NBDL Finals.

LITTLE KNOWN NBDL FACT: NBDL Sr. Director of Legal and Business Affairs Bobby Sharma once attended a tryout to play for his beloved Blue Devils as an undergraduate at Duke. Unfortunately, a fast break pass that sailed deep into the seats at Cameron Indoor Arena prematurely ended the dream. Fortunately for Sharma, an errant pass on a video game can only travel the width of his big screen, keeping him forever in the virtual Duke starting lineup.
