Fayetteville Claims Neumann
April 6, 2004 - NBA G League (G League) News Release
GREENVILLE, S.C., April 6 â The Fayetteville Patriots have claimed center Nick Neumann from the National Basketball Development League available player pool, according to league director of basketball operations Chris Alpert and Patriots coach Jeff Capel. Neumann fills the roster spot vacated when Alvin Pettway left the team for personal reasons.
The 7-1, 245-pound post player from Florida Atlantic ('03) was an 8th round selection (48th overall) by Fayetteville in the 2003 NBDL Draft. He was released during training camp before playing a game. As a senior at Florida Atlantic, Neumann averaged 6.8 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.5 blocked shots.
Neumann is expected to be in uniform when the Patriots travel to Roanoke Friday.
