
RiverDogs to hold on-line jersey auction

Richmond RiverDogs News Release
Richmond, VA â The Richmond RiverDogs of the United Hockey League will sell their game-worn alternate jerseys from 2003/'04 in an on-line auction starting Monday morning at the âDogs website www.riverdogshockey.com. The auction will last two weeks.
The âDogs alternate jersey is blue with the âDogs secondary "Mad Dog" logo crest. This jersey was worn in games by all members of the âDogs playoff roster.
The following jerseys will be available:
44 - Anthony DiPalma - Outstanding two way defenseman had season end early due to injury. He was part of back to back CHL championship teams in Memphis.
35 â Rookie goalie Olivier Dannel was the âDogs back up for the first half of the season before moving on to Adirondack. No nameplate on this jersey.
34 â Adam Sturgeon â Rookie defenseman and budding music producer joined the âDogs late in the season following a strong year for Saginaw of the OHL. Still has junior eligibility left.
33- Erik Patten â Rookie d-man joined the âDogs in mid-season and played in 33 games with four assists.
31 â Maxime Gingras â Goalie returned to Richmond for the âDogs inaugural season. He was 34-15-5 in the regular season.
30 Ryan Aschaber â Backup goalie got into 12 games with the âDogs. Also played with Columbus and Muskegon.
29 â J.J. Wrobel scored 24 regular season goals and was the âDogs leading goal scorer in the playoffs.
27 â Paul Johnson- Solid stay at home D-man shook off early injuries to play in 58 games. Was on the bench as assistant coach while hurt.
25 â Derek Schutz â Tough two way center had 32 points and 140 penalty minutes in his return to pro hockey. Played in the ECHL and AHL then spent two years at the University of Saskatchewan.
24 â Luch Nasato â Was the âDogs leading scoring defenseman with 45 points while racking up 178 PIM with his agitating style. Alternate Captain.
23 â David Brosseau â Came out of retirement in December to score 32 goals in 52 games.
19- Francis Belanger- Joined the âDogs in March and had 24 points in 17 games. The only âDog with NHL experience.
18 â Richard Pitirri â Had 55 points in 75 games. Tied for the club lead in games played.
17 â Eric Perricone â Speedy forward with hard nosed style was a key pickup for the âDogs mid-way through the season.
16- Kevin St. Jacques â âDogs Captain was the club's second leading scorer.
15- David Dartsch â Hard nosed defenseman had 36 PIM in 10 games. Worked in âDogs front office as Director of Community Relations.
13- Jay Murphy- Led the âDogs in scoring with 37 goals and 77 points. Alternate Captain.
12- Dave Shields â Had 36 points and 190 PIM in 63 games.
11- J.F, Picard â Smooth defenseman played in only 10 games before suffering a season ending injury.
9- Brad Both- One of the heavyweights of the UHL led the âDogs in PIM with 243.
7-Brian Goudie- Veteran d-man and long time Richmond fan favorite had 44 points and 176 PIM
3-Darren Wetherill- Another longtime Richmond fan favorite tied for the club lead in plus/minus with a +17.
2-John Murphy- Joined the âDogs late in the season and racked up 68 PIM in just 11 games.
The âDogs now have 13 players under contract for 2004-'05: Brian Goudie, Paul Johnson, J.F. Picard, J.J. Wrobel, Luch Nasato, Jami Yoder, David Brosseau, Francis Belanger, Jordan Roach, Jonathan Gagnon, Jeff Sanger, Trevor Senn, and Mark Turner.
