RiverDogs Partner with ESPN Radio for Game Broadcasts

Richmond, VA – The Richmond RiverDogs of the United Hockey League will partner with Main Quad Richmond Inc. station WARV (ESPN Radio 100.3) for broadcasts of all RiverDogs regular season and playoff games for the 2003/'04 season.

The broadcasts will feature a 15 minute pre-game show and 10 minute post-game wrap up. "We are very pleased to be able to partner with Main Quad," said RiverDogs Director of Broadcasting John Emmett. "We think ESPN radio is a natural fit for the RiverDogs," Emmett added. RiverDogs games will also be webcast at www.riverdogshockey.com.

ESPN Radio is one of three stations operated by Main Quad Richmond. Sister stations include Star 107 and Smooth Jazz 93.1. ESPN Raido 100.3 is also the Richmond home for North Carolina State football.

John Emmett will handle the ‘Dogs play by play chores. The upcoming season will be Emmett's sixth calling pro hockey in Richmond. He has also broadcast junior hockey in the AWHL and WHL. Emmett's play by play background includes pro baseball, arena football, and NCAA football and basketball for stations in Arizona, California, Montana, and Washington.

· Tickets for the opening weekend of the Richmond RiverDogs inaugural season in the United Hockey League are on sale now. The ‘Dogs open at home Friday, October 31 at 7:35 vs. the Muskegon Fury. Richmond is also home Saturday, November 1 vs. the Fury at 7:35.

· Single game RiverDogs tickets are available at the Coliseum Box Office (780-4970) and all TicketMaster locations (all Ukrop's, Hecht's, and Tower Records locations). ‘Dogs tickets are available on-line at www.ticketmaster.com.

· The RiverDogs open training camp October 12. Richmond plays home preseason games vs. the Columbus Stars Friday, October 17, and Saturday, October 18 at 7:35 in the Richmond Coliseum. Tickets for those games will go on sale next week.
