RiverDogs ink Goudie for '04-'05

Richmond, VA – The Richmond RiverDogs of the United Hockey League have signed defenseman Brian Goudie to a contract for the 2004-05 season. Goudie will return for a second season with the ‘Dogs and his sixth full year of pro hockey in Richmond.

Goudie has appeared in all but one of the RiverDogs' 45 games this season. He has six goals, and 14 assists in addition to 109 penalty minutes.

"He's one of the anchors of my team," said 'Dogs General Manager Jeff Croop. "He's a guy that I want here next year." From The Pas, Manitoba, Goudie, 31, began his pro hockey career in 1994-95 with the Hampton Roads Admirals. He shares player/assistant coach duties with Darren Wetherill. Goudie makes his off-season home in Richmond.

The ‘Dogs visit Elmira tonight (6:50 broadcast on 100.3 FM) and Adirondack Saturday (7:20 air time on 100.3) before returning home Sunday for a 5:05 game vs. Port Huron.

RiverDogs players will be serving dinner at the Capital Ale House February 22 and March 28. There will be seatings at 6 PM and 7 PM each night.
