
RiverDogs begin training camp Monday

Richmond RiverDogs News Release
Richmond, VA â The Richmond RiverDogs of the United Hockey League begin their quest for the 2005 Colonial Cup Monday when training camp commences at the Richmond Ice Zone. The âDogs will have 10 days of practice and one preseason game to prepare for the regular season opener Friday, October 15 vs. Port Huron at 7:35 at the Richmond Coliseum.
First year âDogs Head Coach Donny Martin will conduct one on ice practice per day at the Ice Zone from Monday, October 4 through Wednesday, October 13 starting at 8:40 AM each day for the first week with the exception of Saturday, October 9 when the âDogs play their only preseason game at Roanoke vs. the Missouri River Otters and Sunday, October 10 when the âDogs will not be on the ice. All practices are open to the media and public. The Ice Zone is located at 636 Johnston Willis Dr. in Richmond.

· The âDogs now have 19 players under contract for 2004-'05: Brian Goudie, Paul Johnson, J.F. Picard, J.J. Wrobel, Luch Nasato, Jami Yoder, David Brosseau, Francis Belanger, Jordan Roach, Jonathan Gagnon, Jeff Sanger, Trevor Senn, Mark Turner, Ryan McIntosh, Sean Keene, Ryan Prentice, David Hymovitz, Mark Langdon, and Justin Quenneville. Two players have been invited to training camp, Chad Wilson and Andrew Sharp.
· Season seats are on sale now for $545 in the Center section ($470 for minors and seniors), and $400 ($320 for minors and seniors) in End sections. To purchase your season seats please call 225-PUCK (7825).
· The âDogs open their second season Friday, October 15 vs. Port Huron at 7:35 in the Richmond Coliseum.
· The âDogs face the Missouri River Otters in a UHL preseason game Saturday, October 9 at 7:35 PM at the Roanoke Civic Center. For ticket information for that game please call the Roanoke Civic Center at (540) 853-5483.
