
River Raiders Announce Entertainment For 2004 Season

Cedar Rapids, IA (April 6, 2004) River Raiders announce today the family entertainment and fun to be had at Cedar Rapids River Raiders Game. The River Raiders staff has geared fifteen nights of great basketball complimented by fifteen nights of quality entertainment for fans to enjoy.
"We wanted to make this more than Basketball", Owner and President of the River Raiders Barry S. Smith said. "We want top notch family entertainment that includes a sports theme. It's an inexpensive night out with your family, friend's, co-workers, or maybe even a date."
To start the season off right, the River Raiders will welcome "Squatch" the mascot from the NBA's Seattle SuperSonics. Other mascots that will be joining the River Raiders during the 2004 season will be G-Man from the Washington Wizards and Hip-Hop from the Philadelphia 76er's.
Showcasing their dance abilities on the court will be the Raiderettes' cheer and dance squad. Joining the River Raiders own dance and cheer squad, will be the L.A. Laker Girls from the Nine (9) time NBA Champion L.A. Lakers.
The River Raiders also welcome such acts as Myron Noodleman, Anna Jack, Wrestler Mick Foley from the WWE, Heidi Strobel from "Survivor", Alexandria Aces, and many other groups to make your basketball experience with the River Raiders one that you and your family won't forget!
"There is not a bad seat in the house and you have a great view of the action and entertainment." Smith said.
The River Raiders will start its inaugural 30 game regular season (15 home games) on Friday April 16, 2004 at 7:15 vs. the Oklahoma Storm at the U.S. Cellular Center in downtown Cedar Rapids. Tickets are on sale now through the River Raiders front office, U.S. Cellular Center Box office and Ticketmaster locations.
