River Kings Start Road Trip at Nebraska

Cedar Rapids - The Cedar Rapids River Kings are starting a three-game road trip that won't see them back in town until June, starting this Friday against the Nebraska Danger. The River Kings are coming off a 40-25 loss to the Bismarck Bucks in Week 9, while Nebraska won their final of three games against the Green Bay Blizzard, 47-40. However, even though the River Kings lost, they still are showing sings of potential and positive gameplay.
With a long delay of the game due to Walter Walker being a recipient of a scary hit to the head, the momentum of the River Kings was completely lost. Thankfully, Walter is recovering now, and said on Twitter, "...this isn't the last of #45 in that river blue."
Everybody was happy to see that, as Walker needed to be stretched off of the field in Saturday's game.
As for the rest of the game quarterback Ryan Palandech had a solid game. He completed about 60% of his passes (20-32) for 165 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions. He was also able to turn 10 rushes into 15 yards.
The other rusher of the night was Nate Chavious. His stat sheet was not as impressive as games prior, but he was able to turn 11 rushes into 16 yards and a touchdown.
In the hands department, Jordan Smith had five receptions for 58 yards and a touchdown. Another familiar name was Drake White. He has been on a hot streak with another impressive game of five receptions for 51 yards and a touchdown. On the other hand, Marquel Wade, a player Cedar Rapids has been happy to have had nine receptions for 53 yards and no end zone visits. To be successful against the Danger of Nebraska, there will need to be more offensive success than last week's game.
On defense, Nick Brassell was the man of the hour. He had four total tackles, as well as an interception. Jeff Branch also had a game to remember with three tackles and a forced fumble. With the absence of Walter Walker, the River Kings will need to find a new player to step up and make plays on the defensive line.
As for Nebraska, they are coming off of a win against Green Bay, which put them at an even .500 with four wins and four losses.
Their offensive stud is Tommy Armstrong, who was able to complete about 80% of his passes (13-16) for 163 yards and four touchdowns, as well as having 82 yards and two more touchdowns with his legs. If the River Kings want to break their losing streak, Armstrong's name must be circled; he will be the guy that makes or breaks this game. The Danger's other rushing threat is Davonte Sapp-Lynch. His game was less impressive than Armstrong's, but he was able to find the end zone on five rushes for 12 yards.
