River Drivers Extend Winning Streak to Four

Berlin, NH - The Berlin Rivers Drivers came from behind to score 4 goals in the third period to defeat the Dayton Demolition and extend their winning streak to 4 games. It was Berlin's Tyler Prendergast with the hot stick as he finished with a hat trick on the game winning goal.

The Riverdrivers were able to get on the board first coming at 4:10 with Prendergast netting his first goal of the contest. Immidiatly following the goal Dayton's Michael Dolman and Berlin's Nick Wright squared off exchaning punches with Wright getting the best of Dolman. After play quieted down for a few minutes, Dayton was able to find the back of the net 11:06 into the first with Dolman poking the puck home tying the game at one. Then at 14:34 Jesse Felten gave the Demolition the lead 2-1 and that would do it for the first period.

The scoring picked up in the second period as the teams combined for 5 goals. Riverdriver's Prendergast started it off with his second goal of the game coming at 1:20 from and Stephen Gallo. The lead was short lived when Dayton pulled ahead at 9:18 as Martin Uhnak got the goal coming from Jacques Lamoureux and Shea Carey. Berlin would bounce back tying it back up at 14:08 coming off the stick of Niec with Jay Croop and Tom Tracy getting assists. The Demolition would extend their lead at 16:47 and 19:10 as Lamoureux would get credit for both goals. Giving Dayton a 5-3 lead after two periods of play at the Notre Dame Arena.

The third period belonged to the Riverdrivers as they managed to comeback with four in the last 20 minutes of play. Jiri Pestuka started it off 9:30 into the third cutting the Dayton lead to one. Then at 13:04 Berlin tied it up as Jay Croop beat the Dayton goalie coming from Niec and Tracy. Not even 2 minutes after tieing the game Berlin took the lead at 14:52 of the third with Prendergast netting his third of the contest with Gallo and Niec getting assits. Berlin would score again making it 7-5 when Pavel Kubena extended the lead with assits coming from Brantley Sherwood and Pestuka. Berlin and Dayton square off again tomorrow at 7:00 pm where the Riverdrivers look to make it 5 in a row.
