River Drivers Defeat Titans 3 to 2

(Berlin, New Hampshire) After last night's game was postponed due to weather, the River Drivers welcomed the Danbury Titans to the Notre Dame Arena tonight. Both teams were able to find the back of the net, but the home team scored one more for the victory.

The Titans would score the only goal in the first period with 1 second remaining in the period. Dean Yakura assisted by Brett Liscomb and John Scorcia would give the visitors a 1 to 0 lead after 1 period.

The home team would light the light twice during the second period. Both goals scored by Donald Olivieri, the first coming at 5:13 off assists from Jiri Pestuka and Brantley Sherwood. Olivieri would score his second at 9:23 assisted by Curtis Warren and Matias Simontaival.

In the third period the River Drivers scored 30 seconds into the period when Martias Simontaival assisted by Donald Olivieri and Curtis Warren scored on a carry over power play. Titans would add their second of the night when Ryan Patsch scored off assists from Matt Caranci and Steve Brown at 4:14. The score of 3 to 2 would hold up through the remainder of regulation.

River Drivers goaltender Valery Pronin faced 31 shots and recorded 29 saves in the win. Titans goaltender Mike Pearless faced 33 shots and recorded 30 saves in the loss.
