
Rio Grande Valley's Jeff Adrien Signs with Charlotte

NEW YORK, Dec. 9, 2012 - The Charlotte Bobcats today signed forward Jeff Adrien for the fourth GATORADE Call-Up of the 2012-13 NBA Development League season. Adrien joins more than 100 players with NBA D-League experience currently on NBA rosters.
Adrien (6-7, 245, Connecticut) has appeared in 5 games for the Vipers this season, averaging team-highs of 17.6 points and 11.2 rebounds to go with 33.0 minutes. He led Rio Grande Valley in scoring in two of the team's five games and was the high rebounder in three contests.
Adrien returns to the NBA after having played for the Golden State Warriors and the Houston Rockets during the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons. In 31 career NBA games, Adrien averaged 2.5 points, 2.6 rebounds and 8.3 minutes.
Undrafted in 2009, Adrien appeared in 133 games for the Huskies, averaging 12.1 points, 8.5 rebounds and 29.6 minutes.
Adrien is expected to join the Bobcats today and be available on Monday, Dec. 10 when the team hosts the Warriors.
