February 13, 2006 - NBA G League (G League)
Fayetteville Patriots News Release

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C., February 13 - Arkansas' Anthony Roberson and Lawrence Roberts combined to score 12 points in the final four minutes, but it was four steals by the RimRockers over the same span that held the Patriots at bay and allowed Arkansas to hold on for a 115-111 win in NBA D-League action at the Crown Coliseum Monday.

Fayetteville drops to 6-20, the RimRockers improve to 15-17.

The teams traded leads throughout the game, with the RimRockers building an 11-point advantage in the first on Roberts' strong inside play. But the Patriots rallied, going up by as many as 10 in the second as Kaniel Dickens hit for 14 in the period, and they took a 49-44 lead into the break.

Fayetteville opened its lead to 12 midway through the third, but Arkansas recovered and pulled even, 78-78, as the quarter ended. Neither team led by more than three in the fourth until the RimRockers' defense clamped down at the 3:51 mark.

With Fayetteville up by a point, Arkansas' Brian Jackson stole a Darnell Miller pass, Roberts stole a Cliff Hawkins pass and hit a pair of layups, and Clay Tucker stole another Hawkins pass before hitting a pair of free throws to put the RimRockers up by four. Dickens hit a three-pointer and Sharrod Ford scored from inside during the run, but it wasn't enough to overcome the blunders.

Roberts finished with 25, while Roberson had 24.

Dickens' 33 led all scorers. Ford added 20 and Erik Daniels had 17.

The Patriots are back in action Saturday at Fort Worth. Arkansas hosts Albuquerque on Thursday.
