Flame Announce 3-On-3 Tournament

Fort Myers, Fla., February 13, 2006 -The Florida Flame is pleased to present the Second Annual Florida Flame Hoops for Hope 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament presented by Remax Realty Group, Beasley Broadcast Group and The Fort Myers News-Press.

The tournament will be held Saturday, April 8 and Sunday, April 9, 2006 from 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. in the Germain Arena parking lot and is open to all ages and all playing abilities.

Over 30 basketball courts will be set up in the Germain Arena parking lot in half-court format for the two day event that has been labeled a "basketball festival" by Director of Sales and Marketing for the Florida Flame, Brandon Phillips.

"There will be interactive events, hot air balloon rides courtesy of Remax Realty Group, a dunk contest, free throw shooting contest and excellent competition for all ages and playing abilities," said Phillips. "This year's Top Gun division will be played on portable basketball court with surrounding bleacher seating. It's like hoops heaven."

This year's 3-on-3 tournament will consist of the following male, female and coed divisions: 10 and under, 12 and under, 14 and under, 16 and under, 18 and under, Adult Competitive, Adult Recreational, Top Gun and a corporate challenge division featuring teams from the Fort Myers News-Press, Florida Flame, Beasley Broadcast Group, Mona Lisa's Restaurant, Comcast Cable, Metro PCS and The Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida.

Tournament events include the Beasley Broadcast Group dunk contest, free-throw contest, long-range shootout, kids jump house, and hot air balloon rides brought to you by Remax Realty Group.

A portion of all proceeds will benefit the Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida. Teams may register by downloading a registration form online or by submitting an online registration by visiting www.floridaflame.com and faxing to the Flame office 239-561-8130 by the registration deadline, March 31, 2006.
