RimRockers Hold Local Tryouts

LITTLE ROCK, Ark., September 6- The Arkansas RimRockers announce tryouts for regional players who wish to make the 2005-06 training camp roster. The camp is scheduled for October 1-2 at P.A.R.K., located at 6915 Geyer Springs Road in Little Rock. The camp cost $100, which must be paid by September 16, 2005. All applicants must fill out a registration packet and mail it to the Arkansas RimRockers' office, ATTN: Try-Out Camp, at 5980 Wadley Road, Sherwood, AR 72120. Same-day registration for the camp is from 8:00-9:30 a.m. on October 1. However, a penalty fee will be included, and there is no guarantee of a try-out spot. At least one player from the local tryout camp will be selected to attend the RimRockers' team training camp which opens on Nov. 5. The NBA Development League includes the Arkansas RimRockers (Little Rock), Austin Toros (Texas), Fayetteville Patriots (N.C.), Florida Flame (Ft. Myers), Fort Worth Flyers (Texas), Roanoke Dazzle (Va.), Tulsa 66ers (Okla.), as well as a team in Albuquerque (N.M.).

Designed to help grow the sport of basketball both domestically and internationally, the league also offers fun, family entertainment at affordable prices. The D-League is a source of on-court talent for the NBA's 30 teams and is a diverse human resources pool for the NBA and its teams by training employees in management, operations, public relations, sales and marketing positions.
