Riders Sign Former NFL Receiver

Today, the Saskatchewan Roughrider Football Club announced they have signed import wide receiver Matt Dominguez. Terms of the deal were not released.

Matt Dominguez has spent the past two seasons with the Denver Broncos. In 2001, Dominguez played 15 games for the Broncos and recorded three catches for 26 yards. The Sam Houston State graduate started 44 college games, recording 211 catches for 3,272 yards and 27 touchdowns.

PRO: Signed free agent contract with Saskatchewan in May, 2003...originally signed with Denver Broncos in April of 2001.

2002: Spent season on Denver Broncos practice roster.

2001: Dressed in final 12 games of the season for the Denver Broncos...spent first three weeks of season on practice roster...caught three passes for 26 yards...recorded first career NFL reception on October 14th against Seattle.

COLLEGE: Played in 44 games at Sam Houston State...was the school's first NCAA Div. I-AA All-American...caught 211 passes for 3,272 yards and 27 touchdowns...caught a career high 67 passes for 1,155 yards and 13 touchdowns as a junior...was the team MVP in 1998 and 1999...holds eight Sam Houston State records and five Southland Football League records.
